Privacy statement
Koezicht Beemster processes data relating to guests, groups booking a tour, schools and people who get in touch. Here you can read what data this involves, why we need it, how long we keep it and what your rights are.
Who is responsible for your data?
Koezicht Beemster is the meeting and viewing room of Oudshoorn Dairy Farm, the farm of Clemens and Sandra Oudshoorn. We are responsible for what happens to your data.

What data we process and why
We only process data that you provide to us yourself and data that your browser automatically sends.
We need your name, your phone number and email address, the name of your organisation, the date and the number of people. For the invoice we also need the billing address and the amounts. We use this information to arrange the booking and to invoice you. The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you. For the invoice it is also a legal obligation.
The form asks for your name, your email address, the subject and your message. Your phone number is optional. We use this information to answer your question. The legal basis is the steps that precede a possible agreement.
We use what you tell or send us to answer your question. We do not record phone calls.
We need the name and contact details of the teacher and the school. We do not process any data about the pupils.
When you send a message via the contact form, we also store the type of device, the operating system, the browser and the page on which you filled in the form. We do not store your IP address. This helps us prevent misuse and spam, and shows us where a message came from if something goes wrong. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working and secure website.
We do not send out newsletters or advertising. You will only be contacted when necessary, for example regarding your booking or an invoice.
Photos
On the website and on Instagram we show photos of the farm, the meeting room and farm tours. If you appear in a photo and would rather not, let us know and we will remove it.
How long we retain your data
We do not retain any data for longer than necessary.
- If you have hired or booked with us, your details are part of our records. The Dutch tax authorities require us to keep invoices and records for seven years.
- If no booking follows, we delete your message sent via the contact form no later than twelve months after your question.
- Emails that do not lead to a booking are kept for no more than twelve months.
If you would like your data to be deleted earlier, this is possible. See below under ‘Your rights’.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising purposes.
- The hosting provider. The website and email run at DataDigest in the Netherlands. DataDigest may only process your data on our behalf.
- Microsoft (Outlook). Messages sent via the contact form also arrive in Sandra's Outlook mailbox.
- MOL4media, which builds and maintains the website and in doing so has access to the website and to messages sent via the contact form.
- Our accountant. They only process your data for our accounts.
- Authorities with a legal right to it, such as the Dutch tax authorities.
Cookies and external services
During a standard visit, the website sets two cookies that are necessary for the site to function. One remembers your session and is deleted when you close your browser. The other remembers the language in which you are viewing the site for one year. No consent is required for these cookies.
The video is on YouTube and the map comes from OpenStreetMap. They only load once you give your consent. Until then nothing is sent to YouTube or OpenStreetMap. We remember your choice for thirty days in a cookie. If you give consent, OpenStreetMap sees your IP address when the map loads. If you then click on the video, the privacy policy of YouTube (Google) applies.
If you submit the contact form, the form will set a cookie with a random number. This links your message to your browser. It remains in place for just over a year and is not used to track your visit.
The website does not track visitor statistics and does not load any advertising networks or external fonts. If you click on the link to Instagram, you will be redirected to Instagram, where their privacy policy applies.
How we protect your data
The entire website runs over a secure connection, as indicated by the padlock icon in your browser. Only we and the website developer can access messages sent via the contact form.
If, despite everything, something does go wrong and you are at risk as a result, we will let you know and report it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- see which data we hold about you
- have that data corrected if it is wrong
- have your data deleted
- restrict the use of your data
- object to the use of your data
- take your data to another party
